17th Annual Ikebana Exhibit at Japanese Friendship Garden
Ikebana Adventures - February 7-8 2026
The 17th Annual Ikebana Exhibit showcased all beauties from hanging Tsuribana Screen Art to "adventurous" modern designs, using non-traditional materials like plastic, metal, and fabric. Some designs had drawn inspiration from anime for a contemporary twist. The exhibit was highly rated for being educational, with opportunities to talk with artists, get hands-on experience in workshops, learn to create miniature Ikebana arrangements and take home, enjoy live demonstrations, and purchase merchandise from pottery and photographic artists. To add to the excitement, a treasure hunt program gave attendees a chance to identify hidden objects in the arrangements to win prizes.
