TEACHERS
The time to learn ikebana is when you think about it. Sogetsu is contemporary ikebana that moves rapidly from learning beginning ikebana rules to advanced freestyle designing. Basic Moribana (low flat vase) and Nagiere (tall vase) lessons on line, mass and space are taught in books 1 and 2. Books 3 and 4 apply basic artistic design elements to basic ikebana to create cohesive, harmonious freestyle Ikebana. Book 5 is designed to train advanced ikebanists to teach effectively.
Sogetsu Ikebana is taught at Sogetsu headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, throughout Japan, around the world, and here in the greater Phoenix Valley of the Sun in Arizona. We encourage study with a teacher certified by the Sogetsu School, who teaches the published Sogetsu curriculum.
